Meet Your Quilt Maker
Vanalice is a student at Texas Tech University. Making t-shirt quilts is her side gig to earn money to put away for graduate school. She is a kinesiology major and will study Physical Therapy in graduate school. She would like to help you preserve your memories in a t-shirt quilt.
T-Shirt Quilting Details
The style of t-shirt quilts Vanalice will be making are basic, sewing t-shirt to t-shirt. She does not use interfacing so her quilts are extra soft. If you’d like a more complex design, that can be accommodated for an extra charge. The quilts will be:
Backed with 100% cotton fabric in a color of your choice.
Have a poly/cotton blend batting on the inside to make for a long lasting warm quilt.
Quilted with a basic edge to edge quilting design.
Custom quilting is not currently an option. The quilt will be bound and completely finished when you receive it.

The price is determined by the number of t-shirts in the quilt. $10 per t-shirt block for a basic design, so if you wanted a quilt with 20 t-shirt blocks then the price would be $200. Using the front and back of one shirt would count as two blocks. Small logos or pockets can be sewn together into a larger block to fit into the quilt but there will be an additional $10 charge per block to do this. A 4”- 5” outside border can be added for an additional $20. If you would like sashing (strips of fabric between each t-shirt then the cost is $13 per shirt block. The total cost will include cutting down the t-shirts, laying out the design, sewing all the blocks together, batting, thread, quilting and binding.
