Longarm Use Sessions

Full or half day sessions are available to book. All sessions are with the state of the art Bernina Q24 Long Arm. Participant will be guided through setting up and quilting their own quilt. Instructor will teach advancing the quilt, basting the quilt and any assistance needed to finish the quilting. In a half day session a baby quilt or lap size quilt can be completed depending on the chosen design. In a full days session a queen size or king size quilt can be completed depending on the chosen quilting design.

Sew Ready Quilt Studio is happy and excited to be able to finish quilts for you! We provide many services to assist you in getting your treasure complete.

*Edge to edge designs begin at .02 per square in, the price will slightly increase for more dense designs. Custom quilting begins at .04 per square inch.

*Custom Quilt may include free motion work, precision ruler work, or a combination of both. Price will increase with the complexity of design.

*Vintage quilt tops are one of my favorite things to do! Helping it become the quilt it has always wanted to be. Working with hand pieced tops and quilts made out of clothing, aprons, feedback, etc can be a challenge. The quilting on these are usually .03 per square inch due to more manipulation and adjusting needed to make the tops lay flat for quilting.

Other Services

• Binding - Cutting and attaching binding is .15 per linear inch

• Seaming - Seams for backing are $5 for a baby or lap quilt and $10 for anything larger

• Basting - layering and basting a quilt top for quilting at home: $30 for small $40 for queen and $50 for king. Basting will be at 1 stitch per inch in horizontal rows every 4 inches. if vertical rows are wanted too, then the charge will be double.

• Quilter’s Helper Fee - $5-$10 fee if a quilt and backing need to be squared up before being able to load into quilt frame.

Add On Classes:

• Ruler Class - this class is for those that have completed the certification class, or longer machine owners. The participant will learn the basics of how to do ruler work on a longarm machine. This includes safety awareness, pattern and design. The participant will work on a small panel that they will take home at the end of class. $60

• Jelly Rug in the Frame Quilt - This class is open to all (no certification required) Sign up for this GREAT class where you will leave with a quilt finished, start to finish in the quilting frame all but the binding! This is a great way to make quick and easy gifts. Finished quilt will measure approximately 42" x 60" which is great for a lap quilt or baby quilt. Student will bring a 42 strip jelly roll or any amount of strips they want that are width of fabric (42/44") plus 3 yards of backing. (Backing needs to be cut in half and sewed together to create a 54' x 84" backing before coming to class) Class includes 2 hours of longarm time, instruction and batting. $65

• Stencil Class - (coming soon!) In this class, open to all quilters, you will learn how to use talk markers and stencils to create and execute fun and fancy quilt designs. Class includes Chalk marker, stencil, panel, backing and batting. $60

• Feathers galore! - This class is open to certified users. Come learn how to design, mark and execute beautiful feather motifs on your quilts. Class includes panel, backing and batting along with 2 hours time on the longarm. $60
